What you had to say to me...

What I love about the web is the opportunity to share my thoughts with others. But I also like to hear what others think and to exchange ideas.

On this page, I'll share some of the comments I've received in my guestbook and via e-mail. Where appropriate, I'll include a link to the original article, review, or interview that provoked the comment. In some cases, I also may respond to the comments.

Joan and Paul were the first to respond!
"Boy, you are great"  I just had to tell you she said that!
"Guess now that you are 'old' you will have a lot of time for things like that.  Since you brought up the subject of school, I hated every day I HAD to go there. Next to my wedding, my graduation from high school was the best day of my life." ...
"Now speaking of OLD, at least your school is still standing. My elementary school has been torn down and the land is for sale for $62,000. My Jr. High is being used for children hard to teach or unable to learn. I thought it was for that when I went there. My High School which is one of the prettiest buildings in town is on the chopping block. The Catholics want it but seems no one can come to a decision on how to go about it. If it isn't sold, probably, it will be chop chop too."
"So you see my darlings, we really are in the same boat except that I have been out of school for 56 years. I deserve and appreciate all of these years that they turned me loose on the world. After all, I KNEW EVERYTHING. NO ONE COULD TEACH ME ANYTHING ELSE!!! I was a woman of the world. Oh heck, I still am. Why is it I'm the only one who knows it? DDUUHH. Oh yes, we have also been married 56 years. AND STILL IN LOVE; but there are days we fall out of like"

Joan ... again
"LOVED it...I can't even find a message on my cell phone. Oh well, I watch TV really well. Paul doesn't remember 'MOOSE' making hot chocolate in the coffee pot. Of course there are a lot of things he nor I remember anymore. See what you have to look forward to ???"

Chuck in Louisiana -
"My dear you did good and I enjoyed reading what the two Parkville grads did. When I was in school I attended the old school but for high school, I attended both the old one but finished in the new school the first year that it opened. Lots of fond memories but also some sad ones. I lost a lot of friends in the Korea conflict and auto accidents..."

Virgie and Dino - in Amherst, VA
"Judy, loved Moose and his Mrs. It was really cute and original. Keep us posted for updates...We went to Dino's 50th class reunion and I was shocked at how young everyone was. Only one person with a walker and one person with a cane. And dancing, dancing, dancing. Seeing as I have a few years to go before my 50th - I hope we're all as spry.  Must be that all the old and sick ones did not attend even though there were over 200 people attending. Strange how things change..."

Gale and Capt'n Bob - in Virginia
"Hi Moose and Judy (a variation on Punch and Judy?) ... Judy - enjoyed your thoughts on your HS reunion BUT how come you aren't smiling in your photo??? You have such a nice smile and I always think of you laughing. heheh"
