Saturday, October 27th people from all walks of life will gather in 11 cities around the country in a national expression, sponsored by United for Peace and Justice, of the breadth and depth of antiwar sentiment in this nation. For many people, it will be their first step in transforming their antiwar feelings into antiwar action.

There are two new resources designed specifically for the October 27th mobilization:

www.oct27.org has information about each of the 11 regional mobilizations, including the one nearest to you. By visiting this website, you can plug into the organizing in your area: Download mobilizing leaflets, find out about organizing meetings, sign up to volunteer, and much more.

As you know, an effort like this requires a tremendous effort by many people throughout the country. United for Peace and Justice has taken the initiative to organize the October 27th day of regional action. The national coalition is providing the overall structure for the organizing, amplifying the power of each regional action by tying them all together as a massive day of national protest.

Monthly Peace Vigil

Time: 3 - 5 pm
Place: Intersection of Gandy Blvd and Dale Mabry (northeast corner)

Tampa World Can't Wait co-sponsors a monthly Vigil for Peace hosted by the Tampa Bay Veterans for Peace. We meet monthly just north one of MacDill Air Force Base, one of the most important military bases on earth, where U.S. CENTCOM and SOCOM coordinate Coalition Forces for the war.

Vigils are held regularly on the second Saturday of every month.

The great initiative in this war is ours, and the initiative to stop it must also be ours. This Vigil is a pro-peace activity in adherence to the principles of non-violence. Ample parking is available. Circle drummers are welcome. Signs and banners are available.

Show your Senators the true cost of this war. The True Majority website provides the district addresses of our senators along with the faces of soldiers from Florida who have died in this illegal, immoral war. Simply click on one of the soldiers to download the photo memorial, then print it out and mail it off to your senator's district office today. Then come back and send another one tomorrow, and another one the next day, and so on. This promises to be an effective campaign to keep the true cost of war before our politicians.

Send in your vote to Impeach! Download and fill out the documents found on this site and initiate your own impeachment. Check the instructions on the Impeach for Peace website for information on possible future mass mailing dates.
