Ladies Inner Club Board Meeting
August
6, 2009
The board of the Triggs Ladies Inner Club met on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at
6:35 pm at Triggs Golf Course. Present were: Barbara Davis, Denise Turcotte, Sue
Tessier, Judy Gravier, Barbara O’Neil, Susan Vincent and Nancy Smith Greer.
Minutes of the meeting from July 2, 2009 were approved.
Treasurer’s Report:
The Treasurer provided a report on receipts and expenditures to date.
Old Business:
The Board President will send a thank you to Linda Tulino for hosting the Mid-Season
Barbeque. The thank you will include a gift card to the Triggs Pro Shop.
The GHIN computer in the pro shop has a broken router and is not transmitting
scores. The results for the divisions of the Club Championship will be: Kyong Kim vs. Nancy Platt; Judy Gravier vs. Geri Lisa; Vicki Hill vs. Ann DeStefanis.
New Business:
Team Challenge – Set for Friday, August 21st with a 9:00 shotgun. Holes 1-8 are booked with the Pro Shop. Any
Triggs person who wants to play can put a team together. Triggs players will
be accepted on a space available basis once the other teams are put into place. The Challenge can have up to 56 people. The due date for all applications will be August 14, 2009. The Board will put together a continental breakfast at 8:00
am for those playing in the Challenge. Geri Lisa will do the cards and the Birdie
Pool.
Mens’ Mixed Tournament – originally scheduled for August 16, 2009
– will be postponed. The Ladies Inner Club will play a member/member that day instead with an 8:00 am shotgun.
Agawam Team Challenge: Scheduled
for Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Agawam Hunt Club. The Inner Club pays to field
a team. Applicants are accepted on a first-come first-served basis. The Board will send in our money with four names as placeholders to ensure that Triggs has a spot in the
tournament.
Other Business:
Discussion held on upcoming board elections.
Open positions are Governor (1); Vice President and Treasurer.
The next meeting will take place Saturday, September 5, 2009 at 2:00 pm at
Triggs Golf Course.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:25 pm.

24, 2009
The board of the Triggs Ladies Inner Club met on Thursday, September 24, 2009
at 6:45 pm at Triggs Golf Course. Present were: Barbara Davis, Denise Turcotte, Sue Tessier, Judy Gravier, Tracey Higgins and Nancy Smith Greer.
Minutes of the meeting from August 6, 2009 and September 5, 2009 were approved.
Treasurer’s Report:
Sue Tessier provided a report on receipts and expenditures to date. An update was provided on those members who only paid one half of their club fees. Sue will double check with these members regarding their payment status.
If full payment was not made, the members should not be eligible for prizes. For next year, the total dues/fees amount
will be due up front by a date certain.
End of Season Discussion:
Prize Money: Judy Gravier (Tournament Chair) and Sue Tessier went over the
regular season and final day prizes that will be awarded at the end of season dinner.
The final tournament day will include additional longest drive and closest to the pin contests.
Club Championship: Tracy reported
that the prizes for all winners in this year’s club championship have been ordered.
These will be distributed at the end of season dinner. A discussion was held regarding putting past Club Championship
winners on the website.
Elections: Elections will take
place at the final meeting. We have a candidate for each open position: Vice President – Sue Tessier; Treasurer – Denise Turcotte; Governor –
Linda Albamonti. Barbara Davis will ask if there are any nominations from the
floor. If there are none, Nancy Smith Greer (Secretary) will make a motion to
approve the slate of candidates as put forward by the nominating committee.
Order of Events: Elections; Club
Championship presentations; Ringers and tournament prize money.
Desserts: Members with last names
from M-Z will be asked to bring a dessert.
Other Business:
Team Challenge: The team for the
team challenge at Agawam (October 3, 2009) will be: Barbara Davis; Barbara O’Neil; Geri Lisa and Denise Turcotte. Denise will bring the engraved trophy won by Montaup during the Triggs Team Challenge
in August to Agawam for Montaup.
