Historical
Historical Interest

June 17, 2006
I warn you that this website is going to contain a lot of information and opinions of absolutely no interest to many of you, but guess what?? It's MY website.

I get up really early in the morning to commute across 3 states to go to work (Pennsylvania- New Jersey - New York City)

I take the Martz bus lines. The sight of a out of service Martz Bus parked along the side of Route 80, 287, etc was an all too familiar sight last week. For example, I took a 6:10 bus Tuesday morning and finally made it into NYC at 10:00.

There are actually people who have it a lot worse than me. I only take the 5:10 AM bus when I need to be in Court (otherwise, I take the 8:30). There are people who take it  every day and leave at the same time I do (5:45 pm)
No, there is no train from the Poconos to NYC (the owner of the bus company managed to get himself on the transportation board and is usually blamed for blocking the return of trains to the area. There is a lot of work that needs to be done, the tracks look ancient.

I suffer this 2.5 hour commute to maintain the privilege of "dealing" with clients, opposing attorneys, judges and employers.

Noteworthy this week - one of my clients paid 55,540.40 towards a settlement rather than 55,545.40
The next day, I got an email from the opposing attorney (normally a sane individual) about the $5 shortage, with a copy of the message to his client.
I asked him whether he wanted me to bring the $5 to his office the next day (I was contemplating penny rolls) but he said to send a check.

MY OFFICE IS INSANE (added January 30, 2007)

Since there is only one person in my office who even knows about this website, I can post pretty freely.

We really only have one person who is truly insane and she is probably certifiable.  This person so dreads human contact that she will wait for the next elevator rather than get in with anyone from the office. After all these years, no one except the unknowing is going to attempt to make conversation with her. She flips out whenever anyone even says hello.
Don't feel sorry for her. This person apparently has friends outside the office because I have heard her talking to them on the phone. So she is capable of acting normal, she just chooses not to do so,

This person is on her way to legendary status with the office next door. She is known as "the person who won't get on the elevator with anyone.

THE POOL
THE POOL  actually "merits" its own page. It's a lighter shade of green this morning (June 17, 2006). Yesterday, the new pool guy (3d since I moved here), installed a new filter, assuring me that my troubles were over. Well, we will see. Supposedly, I am going to be able to use it by July 1.

Still looks green this morning

After massive shocking yesterday, there is some improvement. However, I can't even run the filter as water is now rushing out of the back wash pipe.

More disgusting than ever. However, we may as well screw it up ourselves rather than pay someone else to screw it up.

My info

I'll post all the basic information about me that I'm comfortable sharing, including things like my background and location.

About this blog

Here I'll describe why I started this blog and describe the topics I'm primarily interested in covering in it.

This could be a picture of me, my town, or a recent trip I took but it's not. It is just a generic picture from the template provided by Verizon.
