We are the Raccoon Club of Maryland, a club dedicated to the preservation of the American tradition of Coon Hunting. We are a private club with members who value good sportsmanship and enjoy pleasure hunting with Coonhounds, as well as Coonhound competition Night Hunts and Bench Shows. Our club also enjoys holding hunts and shows with Beagles.

The Coonhounds that we use to hunt raccoons were created here in the United States of America to hunt by scent and to chase its quary up a tree, signaling the hunter through its bark that it has treed the raccoon.

The Raccoon club of Maryland holds regular UKC Coonhound Events which may consist of Night Hunts and Bench Shows.

To become a member, contact our Club President or one of the members. The general membership votes to approve new members.
Meetings are held at the Club on the 1st Sunday of the Month at 7pm. Meetings usually only last about an hour, but many stay to socialize afterwards.

We invite you to visit us or attend one of our Coonhound or Beagle events. Our members are more than happy to answer any questions you may have about the club and how you can join.
