The Lights of Home is the favorite group of many churches and summer camps throughout the Eastern Shores of Maryland and Delaware.  They have also sung year after year in West Virginia.

 

Every one of their Praise and Testimony concerts are dedicated to the glory of God and will bless the entire audience.  Their beautiful harmonies are what originally draw you to them, as you will think you are in the presence of a heavenly choir.  In addition to their God-given voices, are their truly inspirational stories, their humbleness and their love of the Lord that keeps you coming back again and again to see this wonderful group. 

 

The members are:  Mary Ann Young, Tex Young, Nathan Young and Tom Deas.  Mary Ann & Tex Young who have been in ministry for the Lord for over 30 years founded the Lights of Home.

 

Mary Ann’s powerful, yet angelic voice comes from the heart.  Although she has been through so much including cancer twice and the loss of her son, she radiates the love of Jesus in testimony and in song.  When Mary Ann sings the audience is in awe of her talents, usually getting a standing ovation after such songs as “Redemption Draweth Nigh” and “Look for Me”.

 

Tex adds a contemporary country flare to current hits like “Long Black Train”, as well as other favorites like “Down on My Knees” and “Goodbye to Mercy”.  He is also the storyteller in the group enchanting the audience with “Apple Tree” and his newest recitation of “John 3:16” .  Whether it’s his kind-heartedness, his presence or his stories, you can’t help but have a smile on your face when Tex is on-stage.

 

Nathan’s pure tenor voice is just magnificent.  Nathan has been with The Lights of Home for over 18 years.  He exudes God’s love in song and in witness to the Lord.  Nathan has been with the Lights of Home for over eighteen years, giving hope and comfort to all when he sings songs like “Believe”, “Go Rest High” and “It Is Well”.  He also wrote many of the songs on the group’s “Bloodwashed” CD including such passionate songs as “Sacrificial Lamb”.

 

Tom’s baritone vocals have a tenderness that will captivate and touch your soul.  When Tom sings “Jesus Loves Me”, “He Saw It All” and “Hold Me While I Cry”, you are touched by the words and his smooth, gentle voice, and you know that God is there for you.  Tom was originally with The Lights of Home many years ago.  They were delighted in 2007, when Tom came back to The Lights of Home as their baritone singer.
