HONOR

CELEBRATE
Mission Statement:
Our goal is
to create a timeless monument to honor veterans while making Veterans Square an
attractive park where residents can gather with family, friends, and neighbors
for both public and informal events. We hope to create an opportunity to
educate the children of our community about the sacrifices made by our
servicemen and women in a fun, interactive manner.
Our design
will consider the concepts of veterans, community, education, and the
environment. A professional design team comprised of
an architect, landscape architect, an architect who specializes in historic
preservation, and a sculptor are donating their talents for this project.
You're Invited to search
for our "Eagles on Parade" around town at various locations!

Labor Day Evening Concert, Ground-breaking and Auction!
Our sculptor, Robert Girandola, who is making a life-size bronze eagle to grace
the top of Veterans Square Monument, has made 12 small scale replicas that will
be painted by various Artists of Yardley in any whimsical way they wish – like
the mules in Doylestown, but these are much smaller - 10” by 10” by 11”. They
will be on display at various businesses and public locations from the end of
June until Labor Day, and then they will be auctioned off during intermission on
Labor Day.
