A couple days ago, I read a
quote that impacted my life in such a way, I thought I should share it with you. It read:
"The trying time is not the time to quit trying." -Anonymous.
Doesn't this have so much meaning? I guess to me it does, because every
time I feel like quitting and giving up, what is that going to do? This trying time doesn't make me a "better person" spiritually,
emotionally, or physically. It doesn't build me up, it just tears me down.
Not only did I read this, but that morning I had read through my devotional passage, and what do I come across? James
1:2-4.
What does the Bible say to quitting and when things get tough? What does God think is the right thing to do? Exactly
what this anonymous quote says, only the Bible explains it more thoroughly.
James 1:2-4 says:
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever
you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish
it's work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything."
