Galatians 5:1 says "...for freedom Christ has set us free."
I went to a weekend retreat, which was totally awesome in all aspects. Besides ziplines, ropes courses, basketball, football,
chilling with friends, and amazing worship, there was an awesome speaker with a message I grabbed and held onto.
I encourage you to read Galatians 5, because it's an amazing chapter written on how to live for Christ. Life in the Spirit
produces 4 things: freedom, conflict, fruit, and death. Let me explain each one.
Life is the Spirit brings freedom
Living for Christ brings freedom, because Galatians 5:1 says "For freedom, God has set us free." He has set us free to
proclaim to all the world what He has done for us, through his Son. By being free, we can run and strive to be more like Him.
It reminds me of the song "I am Free" by Newsboys. I am free to run/I am free dance/ I am free to live for You/I am free.
Life in the Spirit brings conflict
As we all know, every day brings challenges. I talked about this in my other article (see The Trying Time).
Challenges bring conflict. Everybody is faced with conflict, it's how we react to them that shows Life in the Spirit. Deal
with conflict just like Jesus did, patiently and a Christ-like example.
