Define: wisdom

I am reading through Proverbs and I am amazed. You don't understand, I am TRULY AMAZED. For many reasons, but for one in particular.
How much he talks about wisdom.

Have you ever had a decision that you had to make and you weren't sure how you felt about it? Well, get this. In Proverbs, Solomon talks about wisdom ALL THE TIME. I'm not complaininig, I'm excited.
Let's back up for a moment and I'll tell you the behind the scenes. Long story made short, God told Solomon that He'd give him anything he asked for. Picture yourself in Solomon's position. Anything you wanted, it'd be granted. What would you choose? Solomon chose wisdom. WISDOM! Not riches or popularity, he chose wisdom. God was so impressed with his decision (not really impressed, but happy) that he gave Solomon not only wisdom, but riches, popularity, and more.

Then Solomon wrote the book of Proverbs.

He wrote it because he wanted to help us understand wisdom and what is really important in life.
He loved God with all his heart that he wanted others to do the same.
Proverbs talks alot about things that even today we struggle with. Like: gossip, rudeness, purity, knowledge, knowing right from wrong, and how to be a man (or woman) of God.
My favorite verses from Proverbs are the following.
Proverbs 1:7 "The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline."
Proverbs 31:30 "Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised."

So I urge you to read the book of Proverbs. It's only 31 chapters, if you read it from start to finish and it's one of the many stories in the greatest book, the Bible.
You will certainly know the definition of wisdom...being a child of God.
