God is So Good
We spent our first Christmas with our little boy given to us by God. We have been so blessed to have Anant this Christmas.
Our best gift ever has been our son, other than each other.
Sorry for the silence lately. We have been dealing with the news that my Mom has metastatic breast cancer and things
have been a little crazy. We are hoping and praying that with treatment she will have less pain and go into remission.
Last night we watched Lilo and Stitch, a great movie with some adoption/family themes. Anant liked it and is now sleeping
with his stuffed Stitch that Aunt Deborah gave him. He loved being with Nana and Aunt Deborah. They made a gingerbread house
together this afternoon while I cooked Dinner.
Anant's favorite songs lately have been: Read your Bible pray every day and you'll grow, grow, grow then...don't read
your Bible forget to pray then you'll shrink, shrink, shrink. And he falls on the floor with the latter song. He's also singing
Away in a Manger and doing motions with this song too. So cute!
Last night Anant had one of his worst nights since we resolved the bedtime screaming/crying. We think that since Nana
and Aunt Deborah were here he didn't want to go to bed but wanted to be with them.
Anant liked his tools that Grandma Kris gave him. But he seems to think that they are surgery tools. You'll see pics
on our flickr site of him drilling into our heads. Then tonight I told him that I needed to cut my nails and he went and got
his pliers. He was going to cut them for me.
Anant continues to be a "supervisor" telling friends and family what they should and shouldn't do...or letting them know
that they are wrong about something. Lately he has been telling me not to go outside because its "cold outside".
We have a tentative hearing for the finalization of our Adoption of Anant on Dec 31! I've sent off my
third CARA report and note to BSSK letting them know how Anant is doing.
Well, I'm tired, better go. Just wanted to say something on Christmas about how grateful and blessed that we are.
