Bonnie Porter's Professional Background
Bonnie Porter earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts
degree from Trenton State College, with an emphasis on both fine art and advertising design. (Bonnie Giltzow,
'91)
After graduating from college she spent 7
years designing holiday ornaments and giftware for various fine china companies including Spode, Wedgwood, and Royal
Doulton among others.
Since 2005 Bonnie has been fortunate
enough to create over 400 First Day Cover illustrations for Collins Associates and the stamp collecting industry. She
continues to enjoy this very unique career. Some of her FDC designs have been submitted by Collins Associates to
the American First Day Cover Society's annual nationwide Cachetmakers Contest. Over the years, Bonnie's designs
have won awards in many catagories, including 2009's overall "Top Cachet of the Year." Click here for examples of Bonnie's First Day Covers.
In addition to her illustration work, Bonnie
also currently enjoys teaching youth art lessons. Many of her students have won ribbons for their artwork.
