Check out the condition of the car as I found it.
By now,
you may be wondering why this Mark VII ended up in a junk yard. From what I'm told, it was stolen and recovered with
damage. All of the soft trim in the interior was slashed with a knife while the hard plastic, the dash, gauges, radio,
and switches were smashed and broken with a hammer.
Many of
my friends believe an "angry" girlfriend did this to get back at a boyfriend! An insurance company totaled it, and it
was sold to this yard for salvage.

|
| This Mark VII sat in a row of other Fords for a year before I came along and moved it. |

|
| Even without a recent wash and wax, this car looked GREAT! |

|
| After working for 2 hours, the car started up, the air springs inflated, and she was ready to leave! |

|
| No smoke from THESE tail pipes. Got a tail light from another red SE in the yard. |

|
| Someone beat holes into the dash pad, smashed the console and the factory CD player! |

|
| Besides the sliced leather, smashed dash, and bashed door panels, there were tacky seat covers. |

|
| The mirror was on the back seat in pieces and all of the gauges were smashed as was the Tripminder. |

|
| They showed no mercy on the door panels. |

|
| I stripped another gray interior from a black SE that was in the yard. |

|
| The interior was full of trash and broken parts. Also found $26 in cash! |

|
| Engine compartment was dirty, but it ran very well and very quiet. Some took good care of this car! |

|
| We hauled it out of the yard on a Sunday. I started working on it the following weekend. |

The
only parts removed from it while sitting in this grave yard were the fog lights, power lock actuators, and
the rear speakers.
A
deal was made to purchase this car. Included in the deal was a complete interior and other miscellaneous parts from
one of the 10 other Mark VII's in the yard!
It’s
taken quite a bit of time and money to put this Mark VII back on the road, but I think you will agree with me it was well
worth it!
Just in case you are wondering, this yard is Mar's Used Auto Parts in North East, Maryland.
At one time they had as many as 12 Mark VII's. Sadly, all but two have been crushed!
Mar's will be shutting down later in 2007 to make way for a housing development.
