THANK YOU
You help us make sense of the things we can't say
You trust us, and love us, in such a special way
When morning comes we can't wait to get here
To experience greatness, and conquer fear.
To uphold our duty, to be a child
To live in a moment, to go a little wild
You've kept us safe, during these exciting days
through touch and wonder, you helped lift the shades.
We learned we had a gentle touch
Through trust from you, we needed so much
We understand, the pain that you must feel
And being with you, has helped us too to heal.
The wrong, the hurt, that you have been through
It is amazing to see, what you now can do
We want to strive, to be that strong
I know we can, I now know we belong.
Your mouth opened up, we looked inside,
Your heart broken, you did not hide
Your spirits lifted, your head now high
Your story to tell, even if a little shy.
Your senses watching, your ears turned near
Even without your sight, still you could hear
When we closed our eyes, we could see your day
Through your survival, we have learned some new ways.
So thank you for your patience, your honor and your hand
Through time with you, we understand
Now we must go, but we will keep this near
These lessons of life, the directions to steer.
