I am continuing to work on the Diatopia Series, a take-off on diatoms, the microscopic geometric animals found in ponds.
I am attracted by the orderliness of their geometric forms and their ragged edges; it is their quick movements which
identify them as animals and add to the chaotic existence of pond life seen through a lens.
After finally finding a framer who makes round frames, I am free to rid myself of the rectangular format in favor of
the microscope's viewer. And thereby to remind you that the world is round, not flat.
