Monday, March 15
- Book projects are due tomorrow: make your final revisions. Compare your project with the criteria sheet and against the
rubric. (Both are on this site at the Handouts link.) Bring the project and its rubric with you to class tomorrow.
D-block: Be sure to drop your project by my room during the day on Tuesday so you receive credit for turning
it in on time.
Tuesday, March 16
- Complete the MCAS practice homework for tomorrow. Do your best: pretend it IS test day. Read carefully and strategize
your answers.
Wednesday, March 17
- Start searching for a new novel for the final book review. You'll report the title on April 2.
- English extra help is tomorrow after school until 3 p.m.
Thursday, March 18
- Complete the MCAS practice homework for tomorrow. Do your very best: pretend it IS test day.
Friday, March 19
- No homework. The reading MCAS test is next week - rest well and eat well: feed your brain.

Monday, March 8
- Complete the MCAS practice sheet received in class today for tomorrow.
- Enrichment journals are due for Friday grading.
Tuesday, March 9
- Your book review project (file folder) is due a week from today. Be ready! Grading criteria and rubric are on this site
under Handouts.
- Do an online search for two of these following four words/phrases to find fairly recent incidents where these words have
been put into action: boycott, discrimination, segregation, civil disobedience. For
each of the two words you choose, IN YOUR WORDS, summarize the incident in a short paragraph. Use who?what?where?when?why?how?
to help you summarize. This is due Friday, March 12 and is worth three homework grades.
Wednesday, March 10
- No school today for students. Work on homework above: Friday's assignment and book review.

- Have online challenge (see Tuesday) for class tomorrow: it's worth three homework grades.
