We regard a healthy lifestyle to be a major component of an individual's treatment plan. Our mission is to build together
a lively home and feeling of family, to develop enthusiasm for life and community within the safety of our surrounding. This
concept is incorporated into daily activities in which residents and staff are engaged. It is a wellness program to assist
individuals in taking control of their lives and in making choices that promote health, prevent disease, and effect positive
treatment outcomes. Our program teaches participants skills for healthy living, diet, nutrition, and daily exercise as a basic
part of treatment and rehabilitation.
We serve adults with a primary diagnosis of a severe and persistent mental illness. On-site and community based rehabilitation
and support services are provided, including psychotherapy. Individuals must be capable of self-preservation and be willing
to participate with staff on individual service planning goals and objectives. Applicants cannot be accepted if actively suicidal,
actively addicted to drugs and/or alcohol, or present a danger to themselves or others. We are certified by both the New York
State Office of Mental Health and The Veterans Administration. Our base fee is $3,000 per month.
Some residents have lived here for many years. Others are able to develop their abilities and leave the residence to enter
supportive apartments or to live independently.
