The Providence Radio Association, Inc., W1OP,
is one of the oldest amateur radio organizations in the world.

Founded in 1919
ARRL Chartered in 1921
Incorporated in 1933
 
The PRA has been meeting continuously since inception.

W1OP On the Air

We are active on the air during Field Day and most major contests.

We operate FM voice repeater W1OP/R on 223.98 MHz

We also operate an NTSC Fast Scan ATV repeater on 421.25 MHz, Input is 439.25 MHz. The ATV repeater may be viewed with any TV set on Cable Ch. 57 (and connected to an outside antenna of course!)
