Are you pregnant or nursing? Then you'll want the information and encouragement that La Leche League provides.

In order to better serve the needs of breastfeeding mothers in the Capital District, we are starting a brand-new La Leche League Group in Troy!

La Leche League Leaders are experienced breastfeeding mothers, accredited by La Leche League International. Whether you're pregnant or already nursing, La Leche League has something for you: tips and techniques shared by mothers who have enjoyed a sucessful breastfeeding relationship.

Services available include monthly informational meetings, a lending library of books on breastfeeding-related topics, and phone & e-mail support for breastfeeding problems and questions. All mothers and their babies are welcome at our meetings.

La Leche League is an international, nonprofit, nonsectarian organization dedicated to providing education, information, support, and encouragement to women who want to breastfeed. All breastfeeding mothers and pregnant women interested in breastfeeding are welcome to come to our meetings or call our Leaders for breastfeeding help.

We're more than just mothers who care. La Leche League International is recognized by the World Health Organization and the American Academy of Pediatrics as expert in the field of breastfeeding. Our Health Advisory Council consults on medical problems, evaluates new research, and reviews our publications. Our Center for Breastfeeding Information provides an extensive database and other comprehensive resources to help breastfeeding mothers. In addition to telephone help and monthly meetings, LLL provides mother-to-mother support to women and their families all over the world. Naturally!
