Rides good and is very well behaved, even with another horse walking and trotting
around him. He does have chronic Sesamoiditis and Suspensory issues though and will need to have bar shoes at all times. He
will not be sound for riding all the time, he may have good days and bad days and may just be able to walk around and enjoy
a trail ride here and there. Can do a half hour walking trail ride as well, NO SPOOK with this boy at all.
I don't know what to say about Merlot except for WOW. She is
a sweet, loving easy to ride mare. W,T,C uncomplicated, trail rides. Has now been started over fences. She gets a bit buddy
sour but can work through it (She whinnies). She has fused hocks but as you can see by the videos they don't affect her in
the least. Her only limitations are no jumps over 2' and no jumping on a regular basis.
Videos of her being ridden:
Sweet mare, nice build. She is very laid back and easy going.
She shows an arthritic knee on radiograph but has been getting ridden consistantly and is proving to be perfectly
sound on no supplements for W,T,C in the ring. She has given pony rides to little kids, been ridden by little kids and beginners
and is a good girl. She can be a bit strong at the canter and I wouldn't reccommend her for a dead beginner without a trainer.
She would make a good horse for someone wanting to do flatwork only on a steady reliable mount. She has also been taken on
short trail rides, nothing phases her.
Video of her being ridden:
Sarah is a very nice mare, level headed and sure of herself.
She has been ridden a handful of times since arrival and has a very nice walk and trot, we did not canter her. She came to
us only days after leaving Belmont racetrack, so we are letting her come down off track life and not asking a whole lot of
her right now. She has no vices and is easy to handle, injury free and should be good for anything you choose.
Nice easy going mare. Originally was very nervous but has come
around. She had issues trailering but it seems as though we have also gotten over that. Very uncomplicated walk trot on this
mare, while riding bareback with halter and lead, but she was pretty hot riding under full tack. We have not cantered her
yet. She has a weak stifle that we are working on building up. She should be fine for flat, but not jumping.
