The following descriptions are from a recent feature article on Myra’s artwork (Valley News Dispatch, Oct. 21, 2007):
“Her colors and dimensions take you to another place and allow you to gaze into her work and see yourself and your
hopes and dreams.”
“Myra’s work is very thought-provoking, allowing others to dream, wish and see what the future could be.”
“Her work allows others to feel peace yet understand the darkness in all of us.” ARTIST'S
STATEMENT:
"I explore the themes of the environment, social issues, emotions, history, space, and literature. My paintings include
an underlying commentary on the conditions of the world or the condition of the human spirit. As a child my father told me
fables and these carry into my paintings. I seek harmony in the world and adhere to a progressive philosophy. For me painting
is a passionate desire to reach further --- my voice in the universe. Breath, vision and wind comprise the elements of my
work."
