Dancing by the Bayou's   Music and Dance Festival   Saturday October 6,2012 Noon to Midnight  Dancing by the Bayou presents our 4th Fall Music and Dance Festival at Glen Echo Park, Maryland. Featuring SIX BANDS in the historic Spanish Ballroom and Bumper Car Pavilion Please help us spread the word. Volunteer to help during the day.  Offer a place to stay for out of town  attendees seeking accommodations. Join the event on Face book  and invite your friends.  Just announced!! FREE. 10:30a-2p  Contact Sheridan for more information swopes123@aol.com Continuing the great tradition started by our dear Alex Poliakoff,  several local dancers are hosting a potluck at the Glen Echo Fall Festival this year!!!  It's been such a huge success in the past and enjoyed by all, we want to keep it going. The potluck will take place at the picnic tables outside the Spanish Ballroom during the dinner break, 6:00 - 7:30. Paper goods will be provided Bring FOOD and drink to share with our friends!! Campers - bring a lantern to provide mood lighting. :-) A DC area dancer has offered to bring deep fried turkey! So, spread the word so we have a great spread to share!!

You have the opportunity at the Festival to give back to their favorite non-profit, Hungry for Music, "Providing the gift of music to underserved children with a hunger to play." Bring a used or new instrument with you to the Festival! A volunteer with Hungry for Music, will be available to collect your musical instrument. Hungry for Music is a 501(c)(3) charity organization that supports music education and cultural enrichment, both in the United States and abroad, by acquiring and distributing quality musical instruments to underserved children with willing instructors and a hunger to play.
