Your Roots Are Showing which allows some of our favorite artists to come in, pick a few songs to play and perform
some of their own tunes, live for our very own ears. This year has been quite busy for Patterson, he’s played
with his band, released an album backing Booker T. and somehow found time to complete, release and tour behind ‘Murdering
Oscar (and Other Love Songs)’- a solo record 15 years in the making. For this Roots In Residence session, Patterson
came in with friend Will Johnson (of Centro-matic) and the two went through a number of Patterson’s songs,
armed with only their acoustic guitars. If there were a way to scream from the rooftops about how cool the session was,
we would. Instead, we will present it to you over the course of the month of July. Don’t miss Your Roots Are
Showing with Franny Thomas, where we’ll cozy on up with Patterson Hood at the controls. New Episodes of Your Roots Are Showing
with Patterson will air every Sunday in July (the 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th)
at 6PM EST on Sirius XM’s The Loft (Sirius 29, XM 50). Encores every Thursday at 2PM and Saturday at 12AM.
