David Interviewed by the Frederick News Post
Ron Cassie interviewed David for a feature article in the Frederick News Post. It was linked to an previous article done on his former heavy metal band LYNX (Click the link at right to see video), of which David was actually the lead singer (Screamer), not the lead guitar player, as the article listed. It tells his story of finding a relationship with God and coming back to music in His service.
David played in several other heavy metal bands such as Pegasus, Salem & Bench Warrant. All of which he was the lead singer or lead guitarist & singer. Click on the link to the right of this to read the article.

David meets Selah

David played with Living Water yesterday and then stayed to see Selah in concert at the Frederick Church of the Bretheran. “We all prayed together back stage before the show, and it felt wonderful to be a part of  this major concert that Brian Messler & FCOB put together,” David said. “Selah is a wonderful showcase of amazing singers that blended together simply blows you away!”

“I have been a HUGE Todd Smith fan since I first heard a Selah song. Hanging out with the group was so exciting for me, personally. I had a great night,” David said.

“I gave them each a copy of the EP and I hope to hear from them if they like it. I’m sure they get this a lot so I’m not going to get my hopes up. I trust in the Lord who has put this project on my heart to do. He will use it for His purpose in His time. I ask for your prayers that He will use me in this way.”

The EP is done!
After a month of remixes, the EP is finally completed. Now the focus is shifting on the artwork and packaging. I created the CD cover and concept to show the theme of this song collection. In short, we are all here for a reason. Each one of us has a purpose and we fulfill it when we live for God and give him the glory! Teresa & I tried to put into words & music how it feels when we except Him into our hearts. The MP3's are coming soon to this website.

Resuming recording
The recording of my CD was put on hold due to an unscheduled trip to Indiana, however the tracks for "Miracles and "My King" are in progress.
"Miracles" is a fast paced rockin' song with dual guitar harmonies and an exciting message about the "everyday miracles" we all take for granted.
"My King" is an acoustic guitar based song with vocal and instrument harmonies telling the story of how God called me to his service. It was written at the kitchen table on Christmas morning 2005. I then performed it that morning during the offering in church! It is the story of how my relationship with Christ began and a celebration of his birth.
I have many other songs in the box just waiting for the studio microphones...It takes time when you're not a full time musician.....yet!

Forever Everywhere Completed
After a lot of mixing and mastering, "Forever Everywhere" has been completed. It took longer than anticipated due to the one night a week scheduling, but it is worth the wait. I am happy with this track and can't wait to finish the other songs in work. More to come!

Notes from inside the Glenjamin Studio
"Forever Everywhere" is currently being recorded. So far the tones are sonically racing but rough in the mix. Josh Grossnickle's drum tracks are fantastic! The next few weeks will be spent fine tuning and adding some special touches before mastering.

Kind words from new song "Forever Everywhere" Fans
Dave recently performed Teresa & his new song "Forever Everywhere" with Living Water. The reaction was great, with two sets of applause and thanks from the congregation and the lead pastor at 2 services. It was a wonderful feeling to know what God put on our hearts to do is successful for Him. Here are some flattering comments:

"I wanted to let you know how awesome your song was last Sunday, I have been singing it all week. Just wanted to let you know what a blessing you have been to the group. Blessings, Melody"

"You know, I was just thinking... your song was awesome this weekend. I feel I really connected with the essence of it. When I fist-fived you, I meant it. That was really fun!I'm aiming to get that recording. I'll send it your way once I do..." - Goran N. Halusa

Dave playing with
I began playing with "Living Water," the worship band at my home church, The Frederick Church of the Brethren in Frederick, Maryland. The band is led by Pastor Brian Messler and has many talented professional quality musicians. We play at the 5:38PM Saturday and 9:45AM Sunday contemporary services. Come on out and worship with us!
I am still arranging my own CCM material and will use some of the other members of Living Water when I am ready to go into the studio. Meanwhile, we will continue to make very loud music in my basement every Saturday afternoon! Don't call the police, its for Him!

Very Kind words from Faith Baptist Church of Knoxville, Maryland

Hey Dave,

WE so enjoyed your ministry Sunday! You were awesome but better still was the love of the Lord reflected on your face. I have had so many comments about your song - we would love to have you back and I look forward to hearing from you soon. By the way, if you are looking for a church family, you and your family would be so welcome here! What a blessed addition it would be for our Music Ministry. God bless you both.

Nikki (Swann - Music Ministry Leader, Faith Baptist Church)
