- Lake Champlain the largest lake in the state holds all the trout species, salmon, steelhead, pike and muskies, panfish,
large and smallmouth bass, bullhead and catfish, eels, bowfin, sturgeon, and carp.
- Otter Creek which is the longest river in the state holds brook, brown and rainbow trout , both large and smallmouth
bass, pike, panfish, bullhead and catfish in the lower regions.
- Furnace Brook holds brook, brown and rainbow trout and a small number of pike at the lowest reaches of the river.
- Poultney River which has Brook Trout, Brown Trout, and Walleyes
- Lake Bomoseen which holds brown trout, large and smallmouth bass, pike and panfish
- The BattenKill River is probably the most famous river in Vermont. The river is in the southern part of the state and
hold Brook, Brown, and Rainbow Trout
