"The preservation, conservation and acquisition of open space and natural
resources."
This is part of the mission statement of the Montgomery Township Parks and Recreation Department.
One thing we can all agree on about living in Montgomery Township is that we experience the effects of overdevelopment-too
much traffic and not enough open space. There is a limited amount of public space to be shared by all citizens.
Do you feel as I do, that every inch of park land and every dollar spent by the parks department goes to serve a small segment
of our population for their specialized recreation?

people accept modest sacrifices for a common good or a more contentious society where groups selfishly protect their own benefits"
Where is the Common Good in our public parks?
