Signed T207 Brown Background

Issued in 1912 by the American Tobacco Company, the T207 Brown Background set is striking in its tone.  Not surprising, given its name, all of the cards featured in this set have a dark brown backround, while the player image is only slightly colorized. The player's name and a brief biography are featured on the reverse.

To the right, T206Collector.com is proud to showcase this signed T207 of Hall of Famer Max Carey.  Graded EXMT 6 by PSA, the Carey card is one of the highest graded signed deadball era cards known to the hobby.  Shown with the proud permission of its owner, this remarkable card is also one of the few known T207 cards that also holds the signature of its subject.

Above is a signed T207 card featuring Hall of Famer Rube Marquard.  This is the second signed T206 Marquard that I have seen come and go on ebay in the past several years.  I put in a strong bid on this one, but came away short.  I show it for the sake of completeness -- and if you were the winner and want to trade it or sell it, of course, feel free to make me an offer.
