Signed Deadball Card Gallery

This website hosts what is perhaps the largest collection of autographed deadball era baseball cards that have been authenticated.  Most of the cards that appear here that are part of my personal collection were acquired in 2007 when a man that inherited one of the largest collection of autographs in existence began to sell off pieces of that collection in the Pittsburgh area.  The man's uncle was apparently a sports writer who sent numerous items of ephemera, including a number of pre-war baseball cards, to aging living legends in the mid-1960s.  Fortunately, he received numerous responses.  In particular, Larry Doyle signed just about everything sent to him and, as a result, this site hosts Doyle's signature on a T201, T205, T206 and E95.  Close to a dozen signed examples of Doyle's three T206 cards made their way to ebay in 2007, most if not all coming from that collection.  The finest ones, including an SGC 60 Doyle Batting card signed by Doyle, are shown on these pages.
