Fall Festival and Benefit Poker Run
Last spring Dave was diagnosed with a type of
cancer known as squamous cell carcinoma. During the month of July he underwent an eight hour surgery which included a neck
dissection and removal of one of his tonsils. Dave’s hospital stay included a day in the Intensive Care Unit and an
additional three days at St. Francis Medical Center. Dave has spent several months battling cancer and needs your help. He
is currently undergoing seven weeks of radiation treatment. He is unable to tolerate solid foods and is unable to work more
than a couple of hours even on a good day. His medical insurance was discontinued just months before he was diagnosed with
cancer. As you can well imagine, the expenses have been astronomical.
Dave Weaver is a friend to all who
have ever met him and a true brother to fellow riders. We hope that you will be able to join us for the poker run. If you
can’t make the run, we hope that you will help a brother in serious need of YOUR help.
The poker run will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2007. The poker run will start at 9:00 a.m. at
Tom Scott Park in Amelia, Virginia and will end at Tom Scott Park. See map below.
The festival and benefit is for non profit and all proceeds will go directly
towards payment of hospital expenses. A benefit fund has been established for Dave through Citizens Bank and Trust. All donations
and funds should be sent to ...
