Fingerless Hand Warmers
These are super soft and quick
knit lengthwise, working back and forth
Sample pictured was knit using
1 skein (50 gr) Debbie Bliss cashmerino
dk
2 hanks (50 yards each)
Lorna Laces hand dyed Angel
MATERIALS
Size 10 straight needles
SIZE written for Adult medium
ABBREVIATIONS K = Knit P = Purl
Ridges = 2 knit rows = 1 ‘ridge’ or line
With one strand of Cashmerino dk and one strand of Angel
CAST
ON 30 sts.
Knit
4 rows = 2 ridges
Work
in pattern as follows
Row 1: Knit across
Row 2: K6, P6, K6, P6, K6
Repeat rows 1 & 2 until you have 8 ridges total (from beg of cast on)
Knit
8 rows = 4 more ridges
You will now have 12 ridges total (from beg of cast on)
Work
in pattern again until you have 18 ridges total (from beg of cast on)
Knit
4 rows = 2 more ridges.
You will now have 20 ridges total (from beg of cast on)
Bind off. Sew side seam about 1-1/2”. Leave next 1-1/2” open for thumb.
Now sew remainder of side seam. Weave in ends.
Make a second warmer upper the same. Enjoy!
