This is a photo of the ensemble SYNERGY Sight and Sound, a collaborative project that Amir Bey shares with Saco Yasuma, composer and alto saxophonist.  Pictured here are, from rear left: Dave Ross g; Lou Grassi, dr; left center, Christopher Sullivan, b; Saco Yasuma, as; Ras Moshe, rds; front, Amir Bey.  Amir creates the installations for the sets, costumes, and masks, as well as the "Music Masks" that he and Chris are holding.

SYNERGY is a Free Jazz ensemble that Amir Bey creates costumes, set designs, and has written lyrics for.  The alto saxophonist Saco Yasuma guides the music component of this collaboration.  SYNERGY'S most recent performance was at the 2007 Vision Festival in New York City; it's next scheduled performance will be at St. Mark's Church in Manhattan on January 27, 2008.
