More homes to sell is the need right now. Pent up demand from buyers has resulted in many multiple offers on nice homes.  Actually, there are new sales and listings every week. Life goes on for many people. This has been my best year in real estate because people still need to buy and others need to sell. The "credit crunch" is the big change. Interest rates this week are below 4.75% for 30-yr fixed, 3.85 for 15-year. Re-financing for 3.85% with 5/1 ARM makes sense if you know you will be moving within 5-years.
