Amanda Applegate is a flute teacher, piano teacher, and board-certified
music therapist. She earned her B.S. in music therapy with a concentration in flute from Elizabethtown College in 1996.
After completing her internship in 1997, she began working as a music therapist and flute teacher.
She recently relocated to central Pennsylvania from the metro NY/NJ
area. Students from her studio in NJ participated in region and area bands, and one student was accepted to the Marine
Corps Band. She continues to teach at the Phillipsburg Academy of Music in NJ one day per week while she makes the transition
to PA.
Ms. Applegate has been providing private music therapy services for
adults and children with disabilities for ten years. She uses music to facilitate progress on speech, motor, and
social goal areas.
