The Saint Joseph’s Preparatory School baseball program is grounded in the same Jesuit ideals that form the school’s identity. Our program promotes the “magis”, the striving to achieve individual and group potential for the greater glory of God. While value is placed on winning, we also recognize that there are other equally important purposes of athletics at the Prep. As such, we attempt to instill “cura personalis”, care for the whole person, in our program, committing ourselves to the development of our players not only athletically, but also emotionally, socially, intellectually, and spiritually.  These characteristics of Jesuit education lead our players to mature, develop leadership skills, cooperate as a group to reach shared goals, realize the value of hard work, and accept responsibility for their actions. In these ways, the baseball field becomes an extension of the classroom at the Prep.
