The SIXTH annual NYS ASL Championship will take place Friday, December 4th-Sunday,
December 6th this year in Albany, New York.
FIVE rounds of round robin play assigned by the TD (Steven Pleva). First round pre-arranged match ups are
permissible. Round five is worth double points and will count as either two wins or two losses.
Scenarios are chosen from a well playtested list and are all playable from both sides. We recommend that you
use the balance if it is noted as such.
Adjudications will occur at the start time of the next round. TD (Steven Pleva) will listen to each players reasoning
for victory and then will decide upon a winner. Slow players will not be given the benefit of the doubt. If the TD
cannot decide on a winner, he will appoint a committee of three that will vote on it and that vote will stand.
Rules interpretations will be decided upon by the TD (Steven Pleva) with help from his assistants if necessary.
For 2009, players dice are subject to replacement by
the TD.
ALL PLAYERS must notate on a sheet of scrap paper all HIP units/SW/GUNS, boresighted hexes, covered
arcs, offboard observers, mines (strength), fortifications, pre-reg hexes, fortified locations and CE/BU status of concealed
AFV's. Such player will be subject to a forfeit of any game in which the TD is unable to verify/inspect/confirm the
above.
Tournament final rankings will be decided using the following tiebreakers:
The loser of the final undefeated match in Round 5 will be awarded second place.
A-Most Wins
B-Head To Head Play
C-Total Points (10 points per win and 2 points per win of all opponents wins of players you played and defeated
during the tournament. Round 5 games are worth double points)
Further ties will be broken using common opponents and win percentage methods. If two players are undefeated
after five rounds an amicable method of deciding the tournament champion will be decided on site between the two undefeated
players and the TD's.
