(*) C. B. Moss wrote (c. 1964), "The Old Catholic
Churches have simply refused to recognize or accept any person ordained or consecrated by Bishop Mathew at any time. The question
of validity is not raised" [C. B. Moss, Old Catholic Movement: Its Origins and History (London: S. P. C. K., 1964)].
Based on my own email correspondence with a representative of the European Old Catholics, I am convinced that this stand has
not changed.
