8 years
It is hard to believe that 8 years ago this week I stood up in church and said my formal goodbye to my Mother.
Mom was an amazing woman whose quiet courage, strength and faith in the midst of an almost 5 year ordeal during which she
survived two massive heart attacks, numerous surgeries, the loss of both of her legs and too many hospitilizations to
count inspired all whom she touched- not to mention astounded all of her doctors!
Because of all of this, she was known as the "Miracle Lady" at our church, Christian Community Presbyterian
(CCPC) and among the staff at the various hospitals and doctor's offices she frequented. I'll always
treasure that quiet afternoon when she confided to me that although she was so grateful that she was indeed the miracle lady,
she would much rather go back to just being "Anne"...
Mom, I love you... and I miss you... and I feel your love always...
May you all know how much you are loved...
Blessings,
Sheree

Some people, in order to discover God, read books. But there
is a great book: the very appearance of created things. Look above you! Look below you! Read it.
God, whom you want to discover, never wrote that book with ink. Instead, He set before your eyes the things that He
had made. Can you ask for a louder voice than that?
-St. Augustine
