Part 1 (8m.)

M start L foot, W start R foot, holding R hands, facing partner;  W’s L hand on skirt, M’s L hand on hip

Basic step:

step together step, touch toe in front, across (Rhythm: dotted 1/8, 1/16, ¼, ¼ ),

alternate measures with opposite footwork 

Option 1  

Basic step 8 times (4 in each direction) 

Option 2

Basic step 2 times (once in each direction)

Individual turn, to starting direction (M, L; W, R): 1,2,3, step together with bow (2 measures)

Repeat. 

Part 2 (8m.)

Option 1

Standing in place: clap own thighs, clap own hands, clap partner’s hands

Repeat.

Hook R elbows and turn with partner, 6 steps, 1m. (1 step per 1/8 note), outside hand high

Individual turn to R (towards partner) R,L,R, together (bow)  (1/8, 1/8, ¼, ¼ )

Repeat.

Option 2

Clap as in Option 1, but do it while circling partner, 6 steps, bent knee on 1 and 4

Individual turn, to R (towards partner): 1,2,3, step together with bow (2 measures)

This turn can be done with more steps and more spins, as desired, e.g. 2 full turns with this foot work, footwork as in Option 1, etc.
