Well, the tree is up; the table is festive, and the lodge is ready for the holidays. When I was hanging the new TV on the wall and putting things in place after the theft, I wanted to take a break and watch a movie. Well, it seems that the thieves also took the DVDs and the knife set attached to the kitchen cabinet. Very odd these people. Well, I there are two DVDs I bought and one without a cover that I think someone left. If you are the family that is missing the DVD, email me and let me know the title and I will send it back to you.  Anyway, the lodge is still relaxing and I will be going there the weekend before Christmas to relax myself and ensure it is ready for fun and enjoyment.

Well, our lovely guests enjoyed themselves over the Thanksgiving holiday and we hope they will pleasure us with their visit again next year.  It was wonderful weather in Virginia-sunny and in the mid 50s. The cabin was decorated for fall and was perfect for their gathering.

 

One sad note was that someone decided they needed our TVs more than we did and took them the week before Thanksgiving. Not to worry, we replaced them but it was disheartening and an added expense we didn’t need at this time of year. I am hoping that the TVs find their way back to their rightful home at Acorn Lodge. If not, I hope the new owners will need to use the warrantee we bought as we have the paper work with us :o).

 

We will be decorating for Christmas soon and I am excited about that. We will have a modest tree with gold ornaments and skirt. The table will be festive and the lodge as inviting as ever. I am thinking about taking pictures and posting them to the site but I have to see about scheduling my time-don’t want to ask too much to the already hectic holiday season.
