Although there isn’t
snow on the ground, Massanutten resort is managing to keep the snow machines going and the slopes and tubing full of snow
and ready for down-hill adventure. The holiday decorations are down and now we
are ready for ski season. January weekends are now fully booked and
February is beginning to fill up. The guests have been wonderful and seemed to
have enjoyed the lodge as much as we do.
On the not-so-good
side, I have stopped providing DVDs as the new ones I just bought have been “borrowed” and I just don’t see replacing them
again. I am sorry that one bad turn spoils it for the rest. The up side though
is that all of the VHS tapes are still available for the kids. Thank goodness the old technologies are unappealing now. The
TV has been mounted in the lower level bedroom so the kids can watch movies until the cows come home.
Parts of the “red-neck golfing” game were destroyed by a guest’s pet so the game is not available either. No note was left so I have no idea which pet tried to be a red-neck golfer. Oh well, I guess that’s life in the vacation rental world…I live and learn everyday and enjoy the time I
do get to spend at the lodge.
