Spring has arrived at Acorn Lodge: birds are gathering, bulbs are coming
up in the front garden, trees are beginning to bud and blossom, and I am enjoying a beautiful view from the deck. We have
had some interesting weather this weekend, shifting from warm and sunny to rainy and cool in the course of an hour. I read that the Northern Virginia Hiking Club has been working on the trails last weekend. I can’t wait
to go hiking.
This was a quick visit this weekend. I came here by myself to get a few chores
done and to get the lodge ready for the April guests. We had a houseful of friends last weekend; it’s really fun to fill the
table with friends and good conversation. One of these days though, I will learn to relax and not work while I am supposed
to be taking a break. I did manage to get a great massage at the resort spa.
It was an hour of bliss and I finally was able to get the work week out of my muscles.
A tour of our hot tub/spa later that evening knocked me out completely. Whew-I do love those snippets of relaxation!
