Academic Awards Night 4/29/09
DeMatha's Latin and Greek students have won far more awards this year than any previous year of my tenure. A record-setting twenty-six Latin students maintained an A average over three quarters to earn membership in this year's National Latin Honor Society. A record-setting seventeen awards on the National Latin Exam were won by DeMatha's Latin students, including Jude Russo who scored a perfect exam. Eight other students fell only one or two points short of winning an award on the NLE. A record-setting three ribbons on the National Greek Exam were won by our Greek students. Three other students fell only one to three points short of winning an award on the NGE. The Senior Greek Award for 2009 has been won by Anthony Dhanagom (AP Latin, Greek III). The Senior Latin Award for 2009 has been won by both Anthony Dhanagom (AP Latin, Greek III) and Kyle Jamolin (AP Latin).

National Greek Exam

NGE Highest Honors Blue Ribbon: Jude Russo (Latin III, Greek I) on the Beginning Attic Exam. Jude was one of only 67 students world wide to win this award on this exam.
NGE Merit Award Green Ribbon: Jose Montalvo (Latin III, Greek I) on the Beginning Attic Exam and Anthony Dhanagom (AP Latin, Greek III) on the Attic Prose Exam. Anthony was one of only 31 students worldwide to win this award on this exam.
