2009 Scholarship

This year we are pleased to announce our first annual debutante scholarship ball.

Selection Criteria

7^th or 8^th grader attending school in the Washington Metropolitan Area

Possess a 3.0 grade point average on a 4 point scale

Participate in community, church, civic or social activities

Demonstrate strong leadership skills

Application Procedures

Submit Washington Chiefs scholarship application

Submit three (3) letters of recommendation (school administrator, teacher, community leader etc...)

Submit SAT score

Submit official transcript

Submit a letter of interest (including; achievements to date & future aspirations)

Financial Awards

The amount of the awards is based on the dollar amount raised by participants. The top four debutantes will receive awards as follows:

Top 7^th & 8^th debutantes -- $10,000 U.S. Saving Bond

Runner up in the 7^th & 8^th grade debutantes -- $5,000 U.S. Saving Bond
