Assistive Technology

The Northbridge School District has a variety of assistive technology resources available to use with students on a temporary basis.  

All resources are located in the Assistive Technology Center at the Balmer Elementary School and are available to use with PreK-12 students on a temporary or trial basis. If you would like to sign out a particular item or need help using it, please see a member of the Assistive Technology Team or email the Assistive Technology Director, Jane Ricard at jricard@fllac.org.

Free & Inexpensive Adaptive Technology Database

Adaptech Research provides information on approximately 100 software programs that are available online for free or minimal cost that support text-to-speech, basic vocabulary, time management, screen readers, alternative mouse options and many more.    The programs are worth looking at to benefit those learners who require a form of assistive technology to support and enhance learning
