Affiliate Instructor Program

EMRT is searching for health and safety instructors join our Affiliate Instructor Program. We are not looking for instructors outside Pennsylvania at this time.

Instructors interested in joining us should have extensive experience in teaching first aid and CPR and be extremely confident in public speaking. Instructors also need to possess emergency medical services experience. Candidates must have instructor credentials from the American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI). EMRT can assist current non-ASHI instructors obtain ASHI instructor certification.

Minimum qualifications are:
1. Proof of certification as EMT or higher.
2. Minimum of six months prehospital care experience (ambulance preferred)
3. Current certification as a CPR and First Aid instructor at the professional level through an organization acceptable to ASHI for reciprocity.
    - If you are not an ASHI instructor, you will be required to complete the administrative transfer of your current credentials to ASHI.
    - If you are not an instructor but meet all other qualifications and are a currently working health care provider we can provide instructor training.

Certification as a Pennsylvania Department of Health EMS instructor is highly desired but not required.
