Anthony Bianco has played under such distinguished
conductors as Reiner, Stokowski, Maazel, Steinberg, Toscanini, and Casals. He retired as Principal Bass Laureate of the Pittsburgh
Symphony after 55 seasons with the orchestra. His teaching reflects studies with Samuel Levitan, D. C. Dounis and Francesco
Riggio. In 1998 he was honored in celebration of 50 years of teaching at Carnegie-Mellon University. In 1988 he was selected
to perform in the World Philharmonic, an international festival orchestra. He has appeared in Who’s Who In Music since
1950.
