Approaching Storm created in Daz3D with Photoshop

Hello, my name is Joe and I'm a Daz addict. I downloaded the free Daz program and have been having a great time with it . It's an extremely useful tool for artists to pose and light figures for reference for painting. It can also be used to create works of digital art. I haven't tried yet, but it can also be used to animate. I realized that I was an addict when I downloaded a Bakery! My friends and co-workers don't understand and ridicule me endlessly. I think they're just jealous or ignorant. I tell them ,It's free! (of course there are many amazing add ons to purchase from Daz) This is one habit I hope to keep.

THE GLOW

This figure is Apollo Maximus. The clouds and glow were done with Ron's Fog brushes. The trees were done with Oreste's Creepy Trees brushes.

If you'd like me to create an image using Daz, or if you'd like to use one of these images, please get in touch. I'd also like to hear from other Daz addicts.

Daz images can be edited in Photoshop. I recently puchased several brushes for Photoshop. I've been using Ron's Splash. Wave, Fog, Sci-Fi and Grunge brushes. I used the Sci-Fi and Grunge brushes on the Dragon Lab image. These brushes are available at the ArtZone Marketplace and Renderosity.

I've only been using a computer since September 2007 . I got into Daz about a month later. I'm getting the hang of it , but there's so much more to learn. Any helpful feedback would be appretiated.

I did this for the Philter Phrenzy 1 competition at graphics.com. The photo of my niece that is repeated in the background and on the dress was taken by her sister Carlye Smith. Oh yeah, I was one of the winners.

Check daz3d.com to see all of the figures and accessories available. There're also other 3D programs like Poser, Carrara and Bryce that I hope to check out soon. I'll let you know about them when I do. Excuse me now, I've got to go upload a unicycle!
