HERE FOR: Invasive Plant Atlas of New England
In October of 2007 a graduate student from U.R.I. discovered that the
extremely invasive Water Chestnut (Trapa natans)was taking root in Belleville Pond in North Kingstown, RI. While Belleville
Pond is not part of the Hunt River Watershed the Friends of the Hunt River Watershed believe cooperation between watershed
groups and partnerships with the community is the key to iraticate the problem of invasive plants in Rhode Island.
