History of Our Club
Founded in 1983 by families who had adopted from
Korea, CNYAFKN's mission is to provide support to its members in all stages of adoption.
Central
New York Adoptive Family Korean Network (CNYAFKN) is an adoptive family support group made up of over 50 active families from
the Central New York area. A nonprofit organization run solely by volunteers, the group offers its members educational and
cultural programs, social activities and a quarterly newsletter. Although the majority of the group’s members have adopted
children from Korea, membership is open to all families who have adopted internationally or domestically.
