Two Scouting Faith Events at St. Maurice
On Sunday, March 14, 2010,
at the 10:00 am Mass, Sr. Judith, grade school principal, has
invited Scouts to attend Mass in uniform and be given a blessing by Fr. John during the Mass.
On Sunday, March 21, 2010, at the 12 Noon Mass, we will celebrate national Scout Sunday by
attending and participating in the worship roles of the Mass. This Mass on
March 21st is the rescheduled celebration that was canceled in February due to the snow storm. This is the Mass
where our scouts are scheduled to take on the leadership roles during the Mass, as well as process in together and sit in
the reserved pews on the tabernacle side of the church. ( I also think it will be a doughnut Sunday.)
I am sending
this out because these two opportunities may be confusing. All Scouts are welcome to participate in both opportunities,
but the scheduled Mass for our official Scout Sunday celebration is March
21 at 12 Noon.
